Cookies, explained
without the small print.
A cookie is a small file that a website saves in your browser to remember something. Here we tell you what we store, what Meta would store and how you decide.
What we store to make the site work
Mundo Ebooks does not use its own cookies to work. Search and the catalog filters run in your browser and store nothing.
If we show you the cookie notice, we save your answer (accept or decline) in your browser’s local storage so we do not ask you every time you visit. It cannot identify you and it never leaves your device.
The Meta pixel, only with your permission
The Meta pixel is a tool from Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (Facebook and Instagram) that helps us see whether our ads work: it records that you visited a page, that you reached an ebook’s offer and that you clicked the buy button. To do this it uses Meta’s own cookies, such as _fbp.
The Meta pixel is installed on Mundo Ebooks, but it only loads if you accept it in the cookie notice. If you say nothing or decline, it does not load and nothing is sent to Meta.
What Meta does with that data is governed by its privacy policy.
When you arrive from an ad
If you come from an ad, the address may carry campaign parameters (utm_source, utm_campaign…). We add them to the Hotmart purchase link so we know which ad worked. We only remember them while you browse other pages if you accept cookies; otherwise they are only used on the page you landed on.
How to change your choice
You can change your mind at any time with the “Cookie settings” button in the footer: it reopens the notice and you choose again. If you withdraw your permission, we delete the Meta cookies from your browser and reload the page.
You can also delete this site’s cookies and data from your browser settings.
Hotmart and Etsy have their own cookies
When you click a buy button you leave Mundo Ebooks and enter Hotmart or Etsy. Those platforms use their own cookies and have their own privacy and cookie policies, which you can read on their websites. We do not receive the payment details you enter there.
